We have completed our first big project for the Sandhills Interactive Natural Resources Education Complex (SINREC) with our newly installed irrigation pivot. The Lindsay Corporation donated this 121' fully operational center pivot for us to use in our outdoor interactive training center. Well drilling, both irrigation and monitoring, is scheduled to begin this spring! A big thank you to the Nebraska Environmental Trust (NET) for providing the grant funding to make this all possible!
This pivot will be set up with a full chemigation system, flow meters, and the newest electric and control panel technology to provide the necessary hands on training to prepare ground water technicians, water resource managers, farmers, and the general public for any issues they may experience while inspecting/operating any of the approximately 100,000 registered irrigation wells in Nebraska
