Brewer Bridge Access Area on the Niobrara River is owned by the MNNRD and is leased and maintained by the Niobrara Council. Restrooms, a water pump, and picnic tables are available for public use at the site.

Valentine Mill Pond was renovated using a grant received from the Nebraska Environmental Trust. Cooperators such as the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality, the City of Valentine, Nebraska Public Power District, Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, and local landowners made the project possible. Key componets of the project included the mechanical dredging to remove sediment deposits and deepen the lake, bank stabilization, and the installation of a hydrosuction sediment removal system with a unique labyrinth spillway to prevent excessive sedimentation from reoccurring.
